I’m lucky enough to be one of the few “non medics” to be able to stock and prescribe the ZO Skin
I have to say, in MY opinion, no other skincare delivers results like these. I honestly love it.
I'm not saying that you NEED to be using ZO if you come to me for facials. People are interested in the range so I just thought I'd do an explanation of it. Whether you are convinced by this or not then let’s stay friends and please still come see me and don't feel you are cheating on me with another brand!
It's not your regular type of skincare. And once you start using the range ..... then chances are you won’t ever go back to "regular" skincare.
Dr. Zein Obagi is probably the most famous dermatologist in the world. His definition of "Skin Health" is...... "Smooth, even in colour, firm and tight, hydrated, tolerant and free of disease"
The range is split into 2 lines: ZO Medical Products (WHITE packaging) and ZO Skin Health products (BLUE packaging). The medical range has more active ingredients and is, more or less 5 times the strength of the skin health range.
To achieve "skin health", products should be specially formulated and contain ingredients that work at the cellular level to improve and activate cellular functions.... penetrate deep down and wake up the skin!
The range is massive. It can be confusing too.
If you hear me talking about the "Fundamental 5" then it's basically 5 products to "GET YOUR SKIN READY". You..... wash, scrub, oil-control, stimulate and protect..... Simple!
So, you basically cleanse, tone and hydrate morning and night. Exfoliate a few times a week and don’t forget to protect your skin with spf during the day. 5 products.... all line up together to give the perfect starting point of an amazing skincare regime. This is the LEAST you can do for great skin.
This picture shows the fundamental 5 in both the skin health range and the medical range. For anyone on the fundamental 5 then you may notice that you have a combination of both ranges. I like to jazz things up and mix both together.
Every day you work at your skin.
If you had money in your pocket and you asked me what to spend it on - a facial or a skincare regime? My answer is always a skincare regime. If you don't look after your skin every day but come for a facial every now and again then it would be like going to the gym 1 day a month and for the rest of the month you eat pot noodles, mars bars and cheesecake.
I'm not judging but I always find it surprising that people come for expensive skin treatments but don't wash their face or keep it hydrated etc.
